Finelite went back to school this month with the Warman Collective Garden, a spectacular group that we’ve been a part of for the past couple of years. We spent 2 mornings with a some grade 3 students, teaching them about seeds, flowers and fruit. We had some high school students join us, and they assisted the grade 3 students with examining and planting either flowers or peppers. Together, they made workbooks (with the cutest team names ever!) to track the growth of the little plant babies over the next couple of months until we move the seedlings into our greenhouse at the high school. There, the Collective Garden will care for them until we can move them into the garden beds in May/June. The kids will take a field trip to visit their sturdy little plants at the end of the school year.

We currently run a unique summer program called the Kids In The Garden, and we have a wish list of future programs a mile long. We have an ongoing need for volunteers, both in the garden and in the community, so please join us!
